New Arrival

Just as Rukbat's rays pushed back the velvety curtains of night in Western Weyr, a certain someone decided it was time to join the world. Jessa, it seems, was wise to have taken the precaution of moving down to the guest weyr, with a false alarm just the night before. And so it is that, just a few hours later, a rather anxious Ninkasith and Dylanth were able to trumpet the news to any and all in earshot, that a baby girl, Jaissa, was born. Or, as Ninkasith so often put it to her rider, a 'clutch'. Mother and baby are doing just fine.

Thus begin the adventures of parenthood, one that never ends….
