'Well, so this is Western Weyr' thought Bethanny, as she looked round the room. She had arrived just this day, after a long journey that found her seeing things that she never imagined. Her father's (NPC) health had been deteriorating in the cold weather at Fort Hold where she was born, something called Arthritis.. or thats what the Healers said. It was being made worse by the cold, so the healers ordered him to somewhere warmer, and well, to cut a long story short, since Bethanny was only 14 turns, and there was no-one else to look after her, she had no choice but to go with him.
She gives a long sigh as she sits down on her bed, and looks around the room some more. 'It wont be THAT bad… will it??' She says to herself, adding 'At least there will be more people around… but i'm not sure about this..' she adds, eyeing the curtain that seperates the co-ed dorm where she was instructed she has to sleep..
