It seems that Turn's End brought about some new beginnings along with the new year, at least for one young Woodcrafter. Kayse, a fifteen-Turn-old apprentice of said Craft, found herself delivered to Western Weyr two weeks into the new Turn and has been trying to figure the Weyr out ever since. The girl reports to some middle-aged forester and is learning the ins and outs of ecological husbandry from him, at least when he's not busy doing his actual job. When she isn't studying she's working on getting to know her way around the Weyr, who to talk to for help, and who to avoid like the Plague.
