Near, far … wherever they are, the Western searchriders have taken to the wing, and set out across the length and breadth of Pern to seek out those who might have a calling to the Western dragons. With seventeen eggs on the sands, there was going to be a definite need for enough candidates for them all. One thing was for certain, the dorms were going to be very full indeed.
