Hedonistic Dens of Death (Pasito a Pasito)

Date: Day 16 of Month 3 of Turn 2714
Half Moon Bay Weyr - Rec Room
This large cavern is painted a pleasant shade of pale blue-green, with purple highlights along borders. The weyr's badge is featured in a twin tapestries hanging on either side of the entry. Directly inside the doors and to the right is an area with bookshelves and a long computer desk for the public computer. Several chairs line the desk so that people waiting for the computer may pursue other studies. To the left of the entrance is a sitting area with a chess set built into a table.

The weyr grows a little more crowded with each passing day, and the rec room is no exception. Residents and Evacuees alike flocking to the familiar watering hole to attempt to socialize without fights breaking out. Tanit was fortunate enough to have claimed a pitcher of a darkish looking beer and her dinner, and a table before the rush started. Sea green eyes watching as a holder and one of the kitchens staff argued over who was cheating over at the dartboard. It is still early in the evening at least, so there is still plenty of opportunity for chaos to break out.

So it's another day at Half Moon Bay - another day when family calls, but is too busy doing other things (like being productive members of society) to shower her with attention. This is why Risali is here now, in the rec cavern, weaving her way through evacuees and residents alike to make her way over to Tanit. The dolphincrafter is not who she came here for initially, but she is here now; this means that Risali is forgoing a game of darts (which will certainly be revisited) for a familiar face, one that she greets with a muted smile as she makes her way over to Tanit's table, sits, and allows grey eyes to flicker towards arguing dartboarders then back to sea green. "Did you see who actually cheated?" Risali inquires, looking and sounding exhausted. Her hair is pulled up in that normal messy-bun, her hips are clad in leathers, she's sporting that long-sleeved (but light materialed), hooded tunic, and the goldrider is still sans her knot to denote rank, weyr, and lifemate. There's redness about her eyes, and a sluggishness to her movements, but the tiny woman is undeterred. "Do you think we should show them how to play a real game?"

The weather isn't exactly sunshine and rainbows ahead of the coming storm. Intermittent rain has certainly assured that Taeski, as he moves his way into the rec cavern..is suitably soggy given the amount of time he's spent outside. There's no end to the different tasks one can get put to with a storm on the way. He's careful though in the crowded space, keeping to himself as much as he can so as not to be jostled by anyone. There's a definite side-eye given to the arguing about darts, and the teen gives /that/ area a particularly wide berth. There may in fact be just a slight squish sound to his steps. As he makes his way by, however, there's a familiarity in seeing Risa that causes him to stop short, blinking. "Risali?"

Sea green eyes flick over to Risali, the dolphineer's mouth curling upward in the corners. "Oh, no both of them were." Tanit aims a bit of steak covered fork at the taller, "Whiskers has his buddy switching the blond's darts with weighted ones and blondie steps over the throwing line while his girlfriend distracts whiskers." The diver unbothered by the exchange. Her attention shifts as Risali's name gets spoken, and a quick flick of the eyes head to toe assesses the man now approaching. "Friend of yours or should we use him as dart practice?" Another forkful of steak making its way into Tanit's mouth as she watches.

Risali's name has the goldrider's head coming up to see just who it is that's hailing her, considerably less surprised to find that it's Taeski than Taeski seems to be at finding Risali in Half Moon Bay Weyr. There's a long moment when those grey eyes simply stare blankly after her cousin, a lack of alertness that highlights her exhaustion before a half-smile curves one corner of her lips and fingers come up in a half-assed wave. "Hi, Taeski," she breathes, and while there's a distinct lack of enthusiasm in her tone, there's nothing unfriendly about it. Risali sounds resigned, tired even, before her attention is back on Tanit with mischief creeping in around a breathy laugh. "He's my cousin, but we can still probably use him as dart practice." A beat, and then a rather dry addendum of, "He'll probably like that, though." One booted foot pushes out a seat for Taeski in a non-verbal invitation for him to take it, her attention straying back to Whiskers and Blondie before those grey eyes roll back to sea green and she shakes her head. "Men," she says with feigned vehemence around another encroaching smile. "We really should go show them how you play a game of darts."

Was Risali expecting Taeski to sit? Well he /might/ do that. Eventually. But alas, no. What he does instead is far more embarrassing. There's hesitation before lurching himself forward, arms looping their way and latching onto his less-enthused cousin. Yes folks, that's a hug. A squeeze..then he promptly lets go and sits himself right down, fidgeting and looking just a /tad/ awkward. His gaze flicks..first from the goldrider then to Tanit, giving a soft snort. "I wouldn't /like/ it." Though the comment of 'men' gets a faint brow-raise from the teen. Hey. MALE at the table!

Tanit's shoulders tense and relax as though stretching as she polishes off the last of her meal, reaching for the mug of dark ale and washing everything down. "Yes well that seems to be an odd theme around here." People who enjoy things like darts being thrown at them. Tanit laughs, "I'd rather challenge them to a breath holding match, but I guess we could try the darts. It has been a while since I last played with my cousin T'san." She glances back to Risa's cousin. Smirking. "Good, I like being surprised every once in a while." The diver stretches lazily. "I think they will be done maybe in another round, so the boards will be free. That is unless the weyr's guests decide to keep swarming the place."

Maybe Risali notices that hesitation, maybe she does not; whatever the case is, there's genuine surprise on her face when her once-renegade cousin closes the gap of distance between them - a tautness in pose, a readying of muscles to fight - that doesn't dissipate when Taeski's arms are suddenly around her. She tenses in his embrace, one arm coming up in a curve that hesitates in touching him (as if she's deciding to pull him closer or push him away), and she's only just relaxed, only just brought her hand very gently down on his back with one pat, two, against his shoulderblades when he's promptly letting her go. Risali blinks once, twice into the vacancy of her own space once more, brows knitting in confusion before grey eyes drop to the table and jump back to Tanit when the Dolphineer speaks again. She listens, there's the ghost of a smile, and then grey eyes are flickering sideways as she cuts her head to the left in a half-shake - dissent, disagreement. "No," she breathes. "No darts. We're going to dance." What? And there Risali goes, motioning to one of the harpers tucked away with a snap of fingers and a rather bold, "OI," as she motions to the piano. "MUSIC. Lively." And there's no asking as she reaches to grab Tanit's ale, as she takes a drink while the music starts, as she gains her feet, moving to stand on her chair with hips undulating in time to the beat while one hand holds the mug to her face and the other goes up in the air. She sets the mug down with eyes closed, head starting to move, and then she's singing around a smile as she hops down, dances her way around the table to Tanit, grabbing her hands in her own and leaning in towards her as she moves her body, sings, points to Taeski across the table and makes 'come hither' fingers at him as she backs away into more of the crowd still moving her little body in time with the beat. They will either join her, or she will make a fool of herself alone. What does it matter? She's dancing. That means she doesn't have to think.

Taeski may have once had a few piercings, but he's taken those out a while back. No more needles for him! He still looks a tad uncomfortable though after his little display, despite taking another look at Tanit for /her/ suggestion of competitive events. "..I suppose it's less annoying if the loser is too unconscious to complain about it." But alas, it seems that there won't be any darts, or even a lack of breathing, since Risali takes it upon herself to dance. To dance in her /chair/. And then dancing away and curling fingers and demanding to be /joined/. He couldn't possibly sink lower into his seat without falling right out of it. Hands just go to his face, shielding himself from the sight of it all with a faint groan. He stays like that, too, for all of a minute before he drags his hands down again to look at Tanit. "Surprised enough yet?" The teen shoves himself out of his chair though to stomp across the floor to Risali. "I don't even know how to do this." But he tries. He moves. There's swaying to be had and hips to move. Or something.

Tanit doesn't get a chance to argue or even process the word dance, as Risali's hand on her own has the diver pulled bodily from her seat, the blouse she wears pinned at the shoulders flutters around her arms and frame as they move to the dance floor. A guitarist joins in with the piano, the style reminiscent of Spain of ancient earth, traveling melody that demands movement. Her whole spine moves with it, a fluid undulation, that ends in the diver on tiptoe already dancing in perfect step with Risali, her rich alto joining in with the goldrider's. Taeski's question is rewarded with a flutter of eyelashes and a breathy smile that only promises endless entertainment and eventual ruin. "I love to dance." The diver admits grinning back at Risali, No thinking, no overanalyzing. Just allowing your body to do whatever the music asks. Which in Tanit's case involves a lot of movement in her hips as she follows the steps with a practiced flare. Her sarong flaring with each step.

S'van is here. Why is he here? Unknown. And he certainly doesn't look at all thrilled to be here, given the way his eyes are casting over the crowded space in an agitated sort of manner, jaw clenched and shoulders tense. But maybe the living caverns are worse? And being outside is not manageable, what with the unpredictable raining and all. He's already damp from trekking over here. And so Sev is here. Because there is nowhere else to go, and at least 'here' has alcohol. Is he allowed to drink alcohol? Let's pretend the answer is 'yes', because he's headed for the bar regardless. Another glance; another assessment, and his eyes land on Risali first (hrm) and then Tanit (huh?) and there is dancing. And bodies doing things that… bodies just SHOULD NOT DO if they belong to someone you think of as a sister. And now he's DEFINITELY gonna get a drink. Consequences be damned.

"It's not about knowing, Taeski. It's about feeling." Feeling the music thrumming in time with the pulsating beat of heart and the rush of rhythm in your blood; feeling the music sing life to muscle, dictating movement in the sway of hips and the titillating curl of spine like Tanit, like Risali: Risali's entire body undulates to the beat. One hand goes up to the tie at the back of her head, pulling free all that thick, black, loosely curling hair in a tumble that she tousles as she moves - because this is the kind of music that requires all of her be in motion; it's the movement of heated nights, the hot press of bodies, the expansion and contraction of chest as lungs labor to provide adequate oxygen for each movement. They sing, they move, and Risali loses herself in the music before Tanit has even reached her. There's something liberating about dance, something that rends inhibition as readily as it sheds thought, leaving a clever kind of sultry wickedness in grey eyes as they find the Dolphineer - hooded by lashes, dark as she watches the taller woman sway her way with appreciation that curls one corner of her lips even as she sings. Risali moves closer, stepping into Tanit's space without missing a beat, chest to chest without actually touching as she moves with her. Grey eyes find S'van in the fray, watch him head towards the bar, and brows rise as she looks back to Tanit. Risali jerks her chin towards the weyrling as if in silent question or just to have mutual acknowledgement that S'van is here and trouble could be made, even as she glances back to Taeski and motions him closer. She can't press to him like she does Tanit, of course, because COUSINS AND WEIRD, but that doesn't mean he has to be left on the outskirts.

"Because I do that so well." Taeski gives a tiny little grumble about that particular bit, but he's still trying. He even makes an attempt to relax a little more. There are no hair-ties to let go, no flowy outfits for him to swirl around in. In fact, it's all rather lucky that he doesn't have a tool belt clanking about his waist. Indeed, getting /too/ close to Risali would be rather /weird/ given their cousinness, but eventually he does look a bit more comfortable in the moving. There's even a slight smile creeping onto his face as he sways into the music, keeping close to the other two dancing. Head jerking motions that are /not/ dancing have him glancing over his shoulder toward the bar, brows raised just a little to see S'van heading there.

To be fair, that pitcher of dark beer? Was mostly gone by the time the dancing started, but the diver doesn't seem bothered one bit by the closeness of Risali, playing off it instead. Keeping perfect time with the goldrider. Tanit does snatch a shot glass off one of the tables, knocking it back with a wink at the drink's owner before snagging one of Risali's hands and pulling her close only to fling her out in a twirl, only realizing the trajectory would bring them within reach of Sev moments after it was too late to change course. "Stop thinking with your brain." Sea green eyes half lided fix on Taeski, "Or you will miss out on half the fun of life."

Trouble has already been made, judging by the fact that the weyrling who SHOULD NOT BE is totally drinking something that is decidedly NOT juice. But whatever. Rules are meant for breaking right? He's doing his best to look inconspicuous and decidedly uninteresting in the dancing, but he can't quite pull it off, grey eyes casting suspicious looks towards Risali while simultaneously trying to AVOID looking at Tanit, which is rather impossible given that they're basically chest-to-chest and undulating together and just… all sorts of WRONG things, for real people! The weyrling makes a face. It's not clear what that emotion is, somewhere between fascination and horror. Like staring at a train wreck. He just can't NOT look. Which is probably a good idea, when there's suddenly a twisting and spinning goldrider being sent his direction. And Sev is a gentleman (SHH, YES HE IS) so he's at least gonna try to catch her and keep her from destroying property. Even if once he has her he has NO IDEA what to do with her. Dance? Dance? Huh? No way. "Uh, here," and he just kinda shoves her back towards Tanit. There's a look cast towards Taeski, a very 'wtf is going on here?' because maybe he is the other sane in this Rec Cavern turned Night Club?

"Shut up, Taeski," Risali laughs, any malice curbed by the joy in movement, by the fact that she can't draw in enough breath to be malicious as nods her head and keeps moving, and tells Taeski, "Yes! Yes, like that!" And then Risali is back to singing, back to moving with Tanit as the woman steals drinks, and sends her spinning towards the weyrling at the bar - Sev, who catches her because he is a gentleman even if he's not a rule-abiding 'ling, who isn't fast enough because Risali presses closer to him in those scant few seconds of indecision, a slow roll that starts at her hips and continues through her chest, pressing her flush before he's shoving her back towards Tanit amid laughter from the goldrider. But Risali is undeterred; she moves with sultry movement of hips and light-footed steps on the tips of her toes until she's reached Tanit and Taeski again, catching the dolphincrafter's hand and using it to spin until her back is to Tanit's front and she sways - carefree, lifting one hand up as she leans back into the taller woman and then spins again to face her, to catch her hand again as she sways her hips and moves backwards, backwards, back towards Sev as brows rise and she motions for Taeski to follow with her fingers. Oh, yes. You better run, S'van, because a bronzeriding weyrling sandwich is going to happen between undulating bodies otherwise.

How is Taeski supposed to live in a world where he doesn't /think/ about things, hmm? He's doing his best at any rate, though it's hard to do /that/ and watch Risali go spinning off..and bounce back again after being connected with S'van for just a bit. He shakes his head though, inching just a little away from the undulating women. There they go again! /Maybe/ he takes pity on the weyrling. Maybe that's what it is, but he slides himself right around Tanit and his cousin to sidle up next to S'van, leaning into him. "You /know/ they're gonna accost you, right?" It may be that he's smirking just a little much at the very idea of it all. "Wanna dance?" Well he's not supposed to be thinking about things, right?

Sea-green eyes glitter laughing as she watches the press of bodies happen between Sev and Risali. She's tall enough to play the role of lead in this dance routine, yes we know it's a shock. Tani laughs, drawing Risali closer, one arm around her waist as they continue to dance, Risa's back to Tanit's front. The diver spins her out again, laughing only to draw her back into a very deep dip, faces close enough that their lips can, and do meet to an uproar of applause from some of the onlookers whistling and cheering. Risa is righted And flung out again, drawn back in a series of spins. The diver grinning, "Too bad we didn't set out a tip jar."

Family had also drawn K'vir from Xanadu to Half Moon Bay, with his aunt now living here. He's on good enough terms with her to actually visit once in awhile. He may have arrived with his hoard of cousins too and has now escaped that little gathering in hopes of some FUN. By "fun" that means 'drinks', which the bronzerider readily finds and acquires easily enough. It's the commotion of music (GOOD MUSIC) and general atmosphere that lure him further. Right in time to see some very interesting dancing and an equally interesting meeting of lips between two said dancers. One of which he KNOWS and is focused on with a look that is both heavily inquiring and VERY amused. Don't mind him, Risali and Tanit! He's just gonna lurk there on the sidelines and nurse that drink of his~ He's probably wound up near S'van and Taeski too, while at it. At least he doesn't stick out too much? He's dressed casually enough and… may have "forgot" to wear his knot. It's on his jacket, okay?

There's a goldrider. Doing this with her body, against his body, that just should NOT be done right now! Sev is a weyrling! He has rules he has to abide by (and sometimes he actually does abide by them. SOMETIMES)! So Risali getting all up in his very personal space has him all kinds of tense. Really, really tense. It's a miracle the glass in his hand doesn't shatter from the white-knuckled grip he suddenly has on it. And then she's gone, and maybe he can breathe for a moment, before there's very dangerous people (RISA AND TANIT!) heading in his direction with suspiciously swaying bodies and just… UGH WHY THE HELL DID HE COME IN HERE AGAIN?! That is the expression on his face. Right before he shuts his eyes and downs his drink in one very hasty gulp and throw back of his head. And then he's lifting his fingers for another. Because if he's gonna be a deviant weyrling, he may as well go all the way. A flash of eyes towards the oncoming disaster, and then Taeski, sidled up and putting words to his fears. "They do that," he says dryly, decidedly avoiding the two ladies KISSING over there. And he's not running because… where would he run? There are people literally everywhere. The shock that registers at the offer to dance is probably written all over his face, and there's a long and awkward sort of pause as he tries to figure out how to explain… "I don't dance. Just… it's not a good idea for me. People tend to get hurt." People being Sev himself. And maybe he's wishing he'd left his own knot at home, because the way he's eyeing the alcohol leaves little guess as to what may be going through his brain right now.

Catwin has ventured into the rec cavern. A place she would like to avoid because of the tempations it poses and the fact that she is really, really REALLY craving a drink. Added residents and remarks therin from some of them haven't helped. Nor doing mounted drills on the wet and slippery ground from rains. Even Fascath's natural grace hasn't been at it's peek. But well, they do say things about Curiosity and Cats and from whispered snickers of weyrbrats and a few residents Cat just had to peek in and take a look. And well, yeah, she may have just died a little. How long she's been standing in the doorway is anyone's guess. But her eyes zero in on S"van and what did he just toss back? Her eyes narrow and she stalks over his way a finger out "What is this?! And here you are telling me I shouldn't go back to.. to.. doing that! And here you are!" Oh the horrors. Oh the terribleness of it. The BETRAYALL. After all. Where's hers?

Taeski RUNS AWAY in an attempt to foil their plans, and Risali watches him go with a flicker of eyes that's short lived because Tanit is here, and the rhythm is in their bodies, demanding a dance that Risali is captivated by and slave to. So she moves, sways her hips, comes back when she's drawn in and laughs as she's tipped back, a laugh that turns into a fierce smile with teeth as she brings arms around the dolphineer's shoulders and leans, bringing one arm up against her side as she presses into that kiss despite the chaste nature of it; and then they're coming apart, Risali spinning amid more laughter and words of, "They don't have enough money to tip us, Tanit!" She's unaware of the weyrling-crisis she's causing over by the men, unaware of her cousin's attempt to lure Sev into a dance and foil her plan for a sandwich and then - Risali's swinging her hips as she pushes hair over her shoulders, pressing her back into Tanit again as grey eyes find K'vir. That inquiring look is met with a raise of her brows, a feral smile as she bites down on her bottom lip and… reaches behind her to catch Tanit's wrist. She pulls the taller woman with her towards the men, a slow movement that's hindered by the occasional halt so that bodies can press closer - giving a show for the men, for sure, shameless despite the crowd that catcalls and cheers and eggs them on as she comes toe to toe with her weyrmate and leans forward into him, pressing nose to his chest, dragging it up and biting him before she swings away from him, BACK TO SEV AND HER COUSIN and there's no escape for you Sev (okay, there is, you're way bigger than her), but she's HEEDLESS OF HER COUSIN as she drags the tips of fingers around Sev's shoulders to his back where she presses and sways while trying to encourage Tanit to his front. THEY GOT THIS GIRLS. And a Catwin! Who is stalking their way.

"Maybe not, but I wouldn't feel the least bit bad about cleaning them out for all they are worth." She almost murmurs against Risali's ear as the dance continues. The diver lead easily, never quite losing the rhythm in barefooted steps, or the sashay of her hips, A teasing smile and a laugh given as Risali bites her werymate, and then sashays them back to poor S'van. Here is where we will blame the tequila, the shots that Tani has been occasionally stealing from onlooker tables. She melts against Sev with a fluidity usually only seen in the water, her body sliding down almost all the way to the floor, and back up before stepping off with a flourished step tugging Risali away again, in a series of twirls, leaving lots of leg to flash at the onlookers. "Take another drink S'van and I'll do it again." The threat delivered with a flash of teeth. Tanit is just that evil tonight.

That bite from Risali? In PUBLIC? Doesn't fluster K'vir. That flush to his cheeks? Different reaction! Could be the alcohol hitting him too. What the hell did he order? Maybe 'surprise me' was a bad thing to ask the bartender. Either way, he'll watch with bright blue eyes as Risali and her dance partner twirl away to lay sweet torture on S'van. That gets quite the look from him too, before they're off again. Sighing heavily admist the cheers and catcalls, the visiting bronzerider knocks back that too-strong drink in one fell chug, sets the glass aside and mutters a drawled: "Excuse me." To anyone nearby. He's got a weyrmate to catch up to! And Tanit. Though it's to Risali that he'll casually slide to, once their dancing allows him to match stride and… yes, he's just going to press and grind up against her. "Is this how greetings are given here?" he muses in his driest tone.

Oh Faranth kill him now. S'van is not looking at Risali and Tanit. Decidedly does NOT see the things they are doing that are earning whistles and catcalls. No. He's staring hard at those bottles behind the bar, as if he could will them over and into his hands. Now. Please. At least he hasn't sipped at the second drink yet? "Oh, well…" and he does look a little bit sheepishly towards Taeski. "It's usually me that gets hurt. And I don't want to step on your toes because… really. I can't—" only he can't finish that sentence, because he's currently gone all stricken looking at the yelling Catwin barreling down on him. The drink in his hand is very hastily shoved towards Taeski so that it can be out of his fingers by the time his fellow Weyrling makes it in his vicinity. "Hey, well… I didn't say you couldn't have ONE right?" RIGHT?! But then, thankfully (or, really, not thankfully at all) there is Risali demanding his attention again. With FINGERS across his shoulders and PRESSING INTO HIS BACK, making him do all sorts of contortionist things as he tries to evade her touch. "Ack!" And then Tanit is doing VERY LEWD things with her body against his body, and he's TOTALLY AND DEFINITELY wishing he'd said yes to that dance and taken the escape opportunity. Self-inflicted injuries and potentially stepping on innocent toes have to be better than getting pressed into some sort of weird dancing situation between the goldrider and his not-blood-but-still-sister, right? Though he will toss a very heated, "I'M A WEYRLING!" their direction because, really! HE IS A MAN AND HE CAN ONLY HANDLE SO MUCH OF THIS OK! Threat taken. He won't drink again. Maybe ever.

Catwin lets out a gasp as Tanit does such very interesting things to S'van. Her eyes going wide and she takes a step away. "Tanit!" she gasps again "He's your brother!" Well sorta, but word is as good as blood isn't it? And obviously she missed the added on threat. She shakes her head and then she's eyeing S'van again "No shit you're a werling. And a drinking weyrling at that. And I can't believe that you tossed all that crap at me, only to pull this. You're a hypocrite! Shards Sev." She says as she drops her voice down. "Do you want to be grounded forever?" Tanit is again eyed and then she frowns and glances at Sev "Just how much has she had to drink anyways? And I'm surprised at you, getting involved in all this.. this.. umm.. debauchery? What about." She stops and shakes her head "You know what, I'm going over there. I'm going to keep my eye on you." And she just turns to walk away to an empty corner.

Poor Taeski steps back, Tanit becomes the embodiment of titillating motion, and Risali gives her a look that speaks to her utter approval even as she's pulled away again, keeping step with the dolphineer, hands catching at the younger woman's hips when the spinning stops and threats are made to weyrlings that are already-getting-it from other weyrlings - but that is clearly not enough, because Risali's giving S'van her own deviant smile with a flash of teeth. "You are!" A weyrling she means, "So stop drinking!" And grey eyes are tracking K'vir as he makes his way to her and Tanit, laughing as he comes in behind her and she moves against his body with undulating hips, a body that sways, feet that are never still with a tilt of her head to hear his words over the din. "This is how you have fun, stupid bronzerider!" is her response to his dry tones, delight and affection in words that could be considered scathing without tone and context. THERE ARE A LOT OF STUPID BRONZERIDERS HERE. Okay, two, the second being S'van, who is Risali's focal point once more after grey eyes track Catwin's warpath to her corner and - "ASK HER TO DANCE, IDIOT!" Risali calls to be heard, and then she's all eyes on Tanit again - enjoying the company of weyrmate and dolphincrafter for just a moment before she catches them both by one hand and tries to pull them towards Catwin. Everybody should be having fun. Everybody. Risali intends to make it happen, so long as nothing happens between point A and B. They can just pile onto Sev if he takes her advice and makes it over there first! LIKE A CIRCLE OF SEXY SALSA DANCES.

Taeski gets a free drink! The night is not wasted. When it gets shoved in his hands, the teen simply sips at it casually, watching the absolute /debacle/ that is the girls and S'van. Hey, he tried to help. He's not about to feel /bad/ about it now that the poor weyrling is being tortured. He blinks a bit though while watching Tanit go down so low, craning his neck to watch rather curiously. "So you are.." He laughs, as S'van gives the 'weyrling' excuse…and simply takes more of his newly acquired drink. "This is where I'd make a run for it if I were you." His gaze follows K'vir though when the rider chases after Risali in the dance, shaking his head. His own brief stint at attempting dancing was probably quite enough for him, too. He's quiet for a moment longer though, knocking back the rest of his drink before he makes his own way out without another word.

Tanit just laughs, For Sev's obvious discomfort, for the dance itself. As Risali leads them over Tanit pulls away slightly, "Cat has space issues." She will say very seriously." Moving over to grab another drink from the bar, with a flourished bow. "My lovelies, it has been an honor, but this dolphineer must alas, catch a few hours shut eye before early shift in the morning."Tanit just laughs, For Sev's obvious discomfort, for the dance itself. As Risali leads them over Tanit pulls away slightly, "Cat has space issues." She will say very seriously." Moving over to grab another drink from the bar, with a flourished bow. "My lovelies, it has been an honor, but this dolphineer must alas, catch a few hours shut eye before early shift in the morning."

Why is S'van here? This is a question that is now haunting him thoroughly. "I only had the one!" he tells Catwin, though he does look appropriately ashamed. "And I ordered it way before all of … that started happening," and he waves a hand in a vaguely Risali-Tanit-and-now-K'vir direction. "It wasn't because of them, it was because…" Well. Reasons. Reasons he doesn't look like discussing right now, says the tension in his shoulders and the very uncomfortable look on his face. And then he's being accused of getting involved in all the madness? Debauchery indeed. "I wasn't involved in any of this!" and then there's a low growl, and a mutter that sounds suspiciously like, "always in the wrong damn place at the wrong damn time." A glance at Taeski, a bit of a feeble shrug because yeah. Weyrling. Rule-breaking, totally deviant DO NOT TRUST HIM weyrling. And as he makes his own escape, totally DITCHING SEV TO THE DEBAUCHERY! And that debauchery has a name. It is 'RISALI' who is telling him to dance with Catwin. "I DON'T DANCE!" he hollers her direction, looking more and more like he should make his own damn escape. And because maybe he knows better than to trust that the dancing-train will leave him alone, he's quickly on the heels of Taeski, making his own escape. Standing in the rain has to be better for his health than this, right? Right. Tanit just gets a look on the way out. And it's not really a nice look, either. (But it's not that bad, TBH. Just kinda grumpy)

Catwin stares at Risali and then watches her as she tries to drag people her way. Is that woman crazy? "I don't want to dance. Not with him, oh shards most definitly not with him." She'd likley get him in even more pain with a J'en for that. And then she blinks at S'vans response of just leaving. Well, that solves that problem, but jee wow, what a response to the possibility of dancing with her. "See, he doesn't want anything to do with dancing with me." she notes and then just sighs and then shrugs. Well. She knows he doesn't dance, so no worries. Right? "Coming here was such a mistake." She looks around and wait, when did Tanit leave? Well maybe that's for the best. But that means she's left behind with the crazy Risali? Uh oh, that is so not good. Doorway is eyed.

EVERYBODY IS ABANDONING SHIP! Risali watches Taeski go with her mouth forming words that don't have a chance to fully formulate before he's gone, and then S'van is gone, and then Tanit is pulling away with a warning about Catwin. Grey eyes stay fixed on Catwin for just a moment, that moment of trepidation heralding misgivings about continuing forward or not - but Risali is not a coward; Risali is a predator, a creature in motion, a woman who's hearing words from behind her that sound suspiciously like, 'Time for a break,' before K'vir's hands are on her hips and the ground is suddenly getting further, and further away, and oof - right into a shoulder Risali's stomach goes, as her weyrmate smacks her bottom one, two, three times. This is happening. THIS FIREMAN CARRY IS HAPPENING. This is Risali's life because she is tiny, and her stupid weyrmate is not, and - "KYZENVIRO!" It's a shriek of shrieks, loud enough to be heard over the music as Risali thrashes and is met with masculine laughter, and somebody is going to pay. With blood, probably. Sorry Catwin. She would have stuck around and danced, but somebody in this weyr is taking advantage of their… advantages.
