Junior Weyrwoman Rea

Description

Rea2-1.jpg

Tanned triangular face set alight a pair of slate-blue eyes, emphasized by their contrast against her skin. Her high cheekbones sit close to those light colored orbs, giving an almost happy, innocent look; followed by a mouth set in a thin line, sitting below a narrow nose covered in a light smattering of freckles. Her hair is a dusty brown color, plaited demurely down her back and to her waist, kept back to keep cool and out of her face. Her body itself is lithe, curving just enough into feminine accentuation to leave no doubt to her frame, and yet not curvy enough to make her anything to attract undo attention from the opposite sex.

Down from spagetti string straps, adorns a light summer dress upon Rea's form— bright, cheery red covering the top as it dips into a v-neck that is edged with red lace. Below her bust lays red lace, as well, empire waist emphasizing her feminine form before dropping down into a flowing long skirt. The skirt itself is made of a very light material, sheer and easily caught in the breeze as it blows gently around her ankles, with another shorter skirt underneathe that keeps modesty and gives the appearence of shades one over the other. The skirt itself has been dyed in bright colors of yellow, orange, red and white, with no certain pattern set into the material, and the underskirt doing the same, with patterns criss-crossing over each other from sheer skirt to under skirt. The end of the skirt itself has been hemmed at the lower calf, and then given more leeway on the sheer materieal, all the way to her ankles. On her feet are a pair of simple flip-flops, with the edges hemmed in a cheery orange, and Western's tropical flowers tooled into the orange straps that go over her feet.

On Rea's shoulder she bears the knot of a Jr. Weyrwoman, rank interlaced within the colors of Western Weyr. Intertwined with these colors is a single strand of gold, to indicate her lifemate, Bennueth.

History

Justice_of_the_Frontier_by_kaleeko2.jpg

Born in Ailoryn Cothold near Keroon, Renae and her younger sister lived a pretty secured life, the hold pulling in enough for the two children to be sent to Keroon Hold for an education. The two sisters lived a good life in comparison to most, their parents having the favor of Keroon's Lord Holder at the time.

It wasn't until Renae was ten turns that things changed for the worse; one night, while Renae and her sister were up at the major Hold, some renegades attacked Ailoryn Cothold, killing both their parents and taking what possessions were left in the cothold. Being too young to take over their parent's hold, the two girls were sent to live with their aunt and uncle in Fort, where their cousins were favored over them.

Left to make sure her sister was taken care of, due to the ignorance of her uncle, Renae was forced to grow up at a young age. She took on odd jobs around Fort Hold to make sure the things her Uncle was unwilling to buy could be given to her sister. Even though Renae certainly took the brunt of it, she kept quiet, making sure her sister's childhood would not be ruined like her own by the wake of tragedy.

It wasn't until she was fourteen that she was considered old enough to go back to Keroon with her younger sister, and take claim on her parents things. Though she did not recieve the land itself, she received the accumulated income that they had saved; for Renae and her sister's future.

Renae and her younger sister Jolyn continued to live out their lives at Keroon Hold, Jolyn still under foster care and Renae taking up the reins as a Keroon Hold Messanger. But, this just was only recently interrupted when N'bis and his green Daeannth showed up at Keroon Hold, looking for a Master of the Hold. When Renae came to help them, Daeannth took much interest in the lass and asked her to stand at the clutch at Western Weyr. After some thought, the fourteen turn old finally accepted, moving Renae and Jolyn to Western Weyr with the former as Candidate and the latter as Weyrbrat.

After a couple of months, and chores that made days feel like decades, the hum of dragons proved the end of candidacy and the beginning of the hatching. For the young lass, Renae, with Keroon on her mind after the candidacy, and constant chatting with her fellow candidates on the sands(Not to mention hatchling dodging. Always thirsty work, there.), waited with baited breath as each shell broke and revealed it's occupant. It wasn't until the end of it, with Renae distracted with Xaleres impressing a brown, that her future became apparent. For Bennueth, the young gold that had hatched, touched upon Renae's mind and called her her own… Making Renae into Rea, and Candidate into Weyrling.

Firelizards

Gold Dreamer
Smoking whirls of black twist upon gold, turning a triangular head into a deep antique as it descends across the skin. Slips of crimson and orange seem to splash from muzzle to head knobs, and across a gently sloping neck, cooling into a burnished gold on neck ridges and shoulder blades. An explosion of florid gold alights across this firelizard's wings, turning the brighter colors accompanying it into dances of sparking light across wing fingers and membrane. As the colors dip back from the wings, it twists and cracks through the antique in a marbling fashion, cascading down limbs into a deep bronzing color. Across back and below ridges, gold and rose seem to prevail, a fiery river coasting down tail and spade, ridges retaining the antique like little islets in a sea of flame.

Bronze Surreal
Copper tones drip along the hide of this bulky bronze, cascading over a well-built neck and onto shoulders and wingspars. Nearly Rose-gold membranes extend between each wingfinger, unmarred by any blemish before clashing upon rusty hips and lean fore and back legs. A thick tail sashays behind the little beast, rose-gold and copper blending into a deeper reddish color, ending in a near blood-red at tail fork.

Brown Serius
Flip. Flop. This brown firelizard doesn't seem to know what to do with his limbs, even beyond hatching. He is not the most graceful firelizard out there, yet he manages to carry himself with dignity when he's not tripping over his tail. A warm chocolate brown from nose to tail, interspersed with small, round patches of darker brown, this brown appears to be one big cookie. Will no one take him seriously? This is Serious Business!

Blue Romeo
A neon blue, poisonous looking, dripping and slowly trailing down the body of the blue hatchling. Each streak is visible on the blue hide, some darker than others, others lighter, thinner trips or bigger globs. Under each trail that allows a dip in it's bath, a deeper, midnight blue is revealed under the neon. This blue, his body seems almost twisted, oddly formed and thin. As if this one has been poisoned, it is frail appearing. The tail thin and gangly, all out of porportion from the blue's much larger head. The wings are smaller than normal, it's a wonder that he is even able to fly.

Painted Frontier Justice Gold Bennueth
Hot flames of pale gold form over a dainty snout, tendrils of color spreading over her eye ridges and jowls where it meets layers of many shades of this golden spectrum. They flow out about her lithe body — and accent to her uniquely thin form — streaking down her neck, shoulders, belly and haunches to her tail. Each comes together in a rippled transition, reminiscent heat rising off the horizon. Pale ridges of the same gold on her snout start the gradient of colors; darkening to yellow gold, aged gold, brass and rose gold, almost copper. Rich red, like molten magma, glows up from her belly, marking the end of this color field though her limbs retain the paler tones, darkening again around strikingly near-ivory talons. The pale of her ridges and face freckle over her shoulders, neck, back and haunches as if she were rolled in dust or ashes, flickering down her tail to concentrate at the end, leaving the tip as pale as her snout. The same effect occurs over the pale to brass gradient of her wing spars—contrasting the slowly darkening limbs with a slow collection of paler particles. These do not affect the wings any, which give the hues in reverse, fading from a few stark red streaks, out to pale gold once more.

Wher hide dyed a rich color of red slips around Bennueth's neck, ridges and chest, soft wool peeking out from the deep color as it sits comfortably against her skin. Two of the straps come down from between shoulder ridges, one that wraps about her gilded neck and the other sitting with a wide chest plate up against her sternum. One one side of those straps, polished silver buckles gleam in the light, a contrast against the gold and red that lays about. Other buckles and clips sit amongst the riding straps, designed to hold rider and potentially a few passangers in place on this gold's back. These straps seem to be kept in good shape; shining dully to show them well oiled and supple, to allow for the movement that is required, and to withstand the cold of between.

Length of 40.08 meters, and a wingspan of 66.80 meters.

Theme Song(s)

Don't Give Up, Michael W. Smith

I remember when you took a stand
With the pearl of wisdom in your hand
And a soul of desire
You held your own against the world
A lion's heart in a little girl
So unafraid of the fire
But those days don't last
Sweet dreams die fast
A stumble when you walk on the wire
When all your friends
Start giving in
The flames are burning higher and higher

[Chorus]
Don't give up, Andrea
Got the whole world at your feet
Just keep on - holding on
This is where you need to be

All the days that you've been spending
Spinning while your heart's descending
Like a stone in the ocean
Sometimes when you think the world is ending
It's really just a new beginning
The other side of emotion
But I've seen your eyes -no compromise
When you set your mind on a matter
Be strong through the tears
And your sight will clear
You're gonna get what you're after

[Chorus x2]

Don't be surprised when the road divides
Just take the one less traveled by

[Chorus x2]

Don't give up, Andrea (Andrea)
Got the whole world at your feet (I know you're gonna make it)
Just keep on - holding on(Andre-a)
This is where you need to be

Keep Holding On, Avril Lavigne

You're not alone
Together we stand
I'll be by your side, you know I'll take your hand
When it gets cold
And it feels like the end
There's no place to go
You know I won't give in
No I won't give in

[Chorus]
Keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
Just stay strong
'Cause you know I'm here for you, I'm here for you
There's nothing you could say
Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through

So far away
I wish you were here
Before it's too late, this could all disappear
Before the doors close
And it comes to an end
With you by my side I will fight and defend
I'll fight and defend
Yeah, yeah

[Chorus]

Hear me when I say, when I say I believe
Nothing's gonna change, nothing's gonna change destiny
Whatever's meant to be will work out perfectly
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

[Chorus]

Keep holding on
Keep holding on

There's nothing you could say
Nothing you could do
There's no other way when it comes to the truth
So keep holding on
'Cause you know we'll make it through, we'll make it through
